For decades, Stephen has been a trusted leader, mentor, and advocate for excellence, helping elevate both the Des Moines Arts Festival and the festivals and events profession as a whole.
As the association's most prestigious honor, the IFEA Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose exceptional leadership, innovation, and lifelong contributions have made a lasting impact on the festivals and events industry and the communities they serve. Induction into the Hall of Fame represents the highest honor bestowed by the International Festivals & Events Association.
Selected by a panel of his industry peers, Stephen King joins an esteemed group of Hall of Fame recipients whose vision, dedication, and leadership have helped shape and advance the global festivals and events industry for generations.

As this year’s Inductee Stephen will be the guest of the IFEA at the 71st Annual IFEA Convention & Expo, presented by atVenu, October 5-7, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona, USA where he will be recognized and presented with his award during the IFEA Awards Luncheon on Monday, October 5, 2026.
