During this Webinar we will look at and evaluate how the entertainment industry has pivoted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will review the offer process for major artists, language that you can use in your contracts to help protect yourselves and also what options are available in lieu of a full cancellation.

Jeff Hyman has been in the Entertainment Industry for over 25 years and is currently the Vice President at Degy Booking International. Starting off working in the college division of Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. as an account representative, and then at small music/comedy agency as Vice President and Director of the College Division. Once, the lead agent for Kevin Smith (Clerks) and the booking agent behind the Red State Movie/Q&A Tour, Jeff has been working with Festivals, University Clients, Performing Arts Centers, Corporations, Fairs and events all around the world booking music, comedy, poetry, speakers and celebrities. His position at Degy Booking International has him as the lead Talent Buyer for the Festival Market and overseeing other markets.

Evan Schaefer, CFEE, CSEP is the Chief Operations Officer at Degy Booking International, Inc. Evan graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Simpson College, in Indianola, IA and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. In 2010, Evan joined the Arizona State University (ASU) team advising the programming board and overseeing international programs. While at ASU, Evan became actively involved in the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) as a West Regional Block Booking Coordinator. In 2013, he was selected as the NACA National Block Booking Coordinator. In 2014 Evan was hired by the Arizona Super Bowl XLIX Host Committee as an Operations and Logistics Coordinator working with a team to oversee the transportation, aviation, parking, game day operations. Evan currently lives in Tempe, Arizona with his beautiful wife Elizabeth and two black pugs, Penny and Sheldon.
