Have you been eager to get together for dinner with a group of friends?

Share a ‘thank you’ dinner with your staff? Have an extended evening of networking with colleagues? Show your appreciation in a unique way to sponsors, board members, committee members or volunteers? Or perhaps you’ve been looking to just take part in a unique experience different from your day to day routine . . . but there are limited options as it is not safe to gather in large groups yet. Well, we have a great solution that not only brings a fun entertaining evening to your social calendar, but also helps raise valuable funds for the IFEA Foundation!

We bring you . . . Virtual Cooking Classes from ChefTorial!

Spend an evening socializing with friends, co-workers, colleagues, sponsors, board members, committee members or volunteers, while at the same time, guided by a professional chef, preparing a meal together! Once your edible masterpiece has been created, continue the evening with more socializing while indulging on the delicious meal you just created!

You can take over an entire ChefTorial for you and the group you would like to gather with. Or, you can have an exciting evening by just signing up for one Screen/Log-In and make a whole bunch of new friends!


Virtual Cooking Class Presented by ChefTorial. Gather in your own home with your own small group/family and virtually visit with 11 other small groups doing the same thing. Prepare a delicious meal guided by a professional chef. Then enjoy the fruits of your labor while socializing with old friends and new for the remainder of the evening.

Menus for the evening will be focused on the IFEA’s seven global regions: Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East (MENASA) and North America.
  • A Total of 10 ChefTorials are available.
  • 1 of these ChefTorials will be auctioned off in the IFEA Online Auction ending Oct 21
  • 9 ChefTorials are available for purchase.
  • Each of the 9 ChefTorials will have 12 screens/log-ins available.
  • Each Screen/Log-in is being sold for $100
  • Participants will receive an ingredients list beforehand and are responsible for providing all ingredients.


In the comfort of your own home via Zoom! Once purchased, log-in information will be sent shortly before your scheduled date in addition to details on ingredients to purchase.


To share a fun, unique, entertaining evening with old friends and new. All funds raised go towards the IFEA Foundation Scholarship Fund, allowing young professionals in the festivals & events industry to advance their career. This year, we need your support, now more than ever!

Introduction to ChefTorial


There are 12 seats available on each date. Each purchase/seat represents one (1) Zoom connection. Purchase a seat for your individual use or purchase all 12 seats and use them to invite and host others for your own private dinner event!



ChefTorials will take place on the following dates and have the following theme menu options:

Friday, November 6th, 2020

4:30 p.m. PST | 5:30 p.m. MST | 6:30 p.m. CST | 7:30 p.m. EST

  • IFEA Latin America with Chef Cherrie Moreault

    The menu being prepared will beTuna Carpaccio with Plantain Chips and Authentic Tamale with Rice.
  • IFEA Asia with Chef Terry Rust

  • The menu being prepared will be Snapper & Tomato Ceviche Shooter, Chipotle Aioli, Pea Shoots, Marinated Flank Steak & Chimichurri Sauce and Ensalada Criolla.
  • IFEA Mediterranean with Chef Rahil

  • The menu being prepared will be Greek Salad and Lamb pops (Lamb Meatballs) with Orzo.
  • IFEA Australia with Chef Gillian

  • The menu being prepared will be Shrimp “on-the-barbie” with homemade cocktail sauce, Chicken Parmigiana served with a fresh Arugula Salad featuring candied walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, and red onions, finished with a lemon vinaigrette.
  • IFEA Africa with Chef Seema Sanghavi

  • The menu being prepared will be Bhajias (Potato Fritters) and Piri Piri Chicken with Beans and Rice.

  • The menu being prepared will be Sautéed Prawns on a Chickpea Puree, Risotto with Zucchini and Chocolate Mousse.
  • IFEA North America with Chef Cherrie Moreault

  • The menu being prepared will be Acadian Tourtiere (Meat Pie) and Pets de Soeur (Acadian Cinnamon Rolls).
  • IFEA Latin America with Chef Terry Rust

  • The menu being prepared will be Lumpia (Philippino Spring Rolls) with Sweet Chili Sauce and Pabellon Criollo (Black beans, Rice, Steak, and Plantains).
  • IFEA Mediterranean with Chef Gillian

  • The menu being prepared will beTabouli Salad and a Mediterranean Falafel on Pita.
