The IFEA respects the privacy of our members and other visitors to our Web site and understands that some users may have questions about how this site collects and uses information that may be provided to us. We have prepared this notice to disclose those practices.

Information Collection and Use Practices

It is the IFEA's general policy to collect and store only personal information that members and visitors knowingly provide. Most data that we collect is used only to help the IFEA better serve our members and the festivals and events industry.

• General Users: IFEA does not collect any personal information from users browsing its Web site. Only aggregate data (i.e. the number of hits per page) is collected. Aggregate data is used for internal and marketing purposes only and does not provide any personally identifying information.
• IFEA Members, Convention/Seminar Registrants, and Other Customers: To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the IFEA Web site, members and other users are asked to register and provide primary contact information. This information is submitted voluntarily. Similar registration information may be submitted to the IFEA through membership applications, convention or seminar registrations, bookstore orders, or subscriptions. Additionally, for emails sent by the IFEA in HTML format through electronic broadcasts and weekly updates, we will collect specific information regarding what the recipient does with that email and whether they click through to any links provided in the message. This information helps the IFEA to enhance our product and service offerings to our members.

Disclosures to Third Parties:

IFEA makes member contact information available through an online Membership Directory to other members using our Web site and limited member contact information (organization name, city/state and Web site) to all non-members. In addition, IFEA incorporates information members submit into electronic copies of the IFEA Membership Directory that it provides to members in a CD format. The IFEA also makes limited data available for sale to third parties that offer industry products and services. This limited data includes contact names, job titles, organization name, and organization address. In select cases, the IFEA may also include email addresses and phone numbers in that data.

Credit Card Information:

IFEA does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, IFEA submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.

Cookies

The only Internet cookies that the IFEA uses are those necessary to record session information such as items that members and customers add to their shopping cart, and member log-in information. No other cookies are recorded.
