In 2004 the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA World) joined with four other industry-leading associations, including the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE), and the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA), to form an industry-wide public event and venue Association Alliance, designed to enhance and grow our mutual capabilities by combining the efforts, resources and networks of each as we look to the future together. For our members, that means five times the advocacy and five times the industry support provided by only one association.

International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE)
The International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) is a voluntary, nonprofit corporation, organizing state, provincial, regional, and county agricultural fairs, shows, exhibitions and expositions. Its associate members include state and provincial associations of fairs, non-agricultural expositions and festivals, associations, corporations, and individuals engaged in providing products and services to its members, all of whom are interested in the improvement of fairs, shows, expositions and allied fields. The IAFE began in 1885 with a half dozen fairs. Today, the IAFE represents more than 1,300 fairs around the world, and more than 1,300members from allied fields. Throughout the years, the IAFE has remained true to its purpose of promoting and encouraging the development and improvement of fairs, shows and expositions. Its mission is “To represent and facilitate the interest of agricultural fairs, exhibitions and show associations.”

International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM)
The International Association of Venue Managers is an association whose purpose is to provide leadership, to educate, to inform and to cultivate friendships among individuals involved in the management, operation and support of public assembly facilities. IAVM is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to issues relevant to the management of public assembly facilities. Members of the association manage public assembly facilities such as amphitheaters, arenas, auditoriums, convention centers/exhibit halls, performing arts venues, stadiums and university complexes; or provide products, services or attractions to support the industry. Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA)
The Outdoor Amusement Business Association, organized as a non-profit trade group in 1965, is the largest association representing the mobile amusement industry. Our members include carnivals, circuses, independent ride owners, food/game concessionaires, rental amusements and others associated with family entertainment .Our members contract with fairs, festivals, community and philanthropic organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Its mission is “To encourage the growth and preservation of the outdoor amusement industry through leadership, legislation, education and membership services.”

Founded in 1918, IAAPA is the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities worldwide. The organization represents over 4,000 facility, supplier, and individual members from more than 93 countries. IAAPA strives to help members improve their efficiency, marketing, safety, and profitability while maintaining the highest possible professional standards in the industry.
