CFEE Core Curriculum Classes

The following CFEE Core Curriculum Classes are currently being offered in 2012. Check back often as more are scheduled regularly.

 

CFEE FastTrack
September 13-15th, 2013
The following three CFEE Core Curriculum Classes will be offered prior to the IFEA's 58th Annual Convention & Expo in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, September 13th, September 14th and September 15th, 2015. Attendees may register for classes individually*, or as part of the CFEE FastTrack Program.**  Classes may be taken as part of the CFEE Certification Program, or as regular educational seminars. 

If registering as part of the CFEE FastTrack, the remaining 3 Core Curriculum Classes to complete the 6 required Core Curriculum Classes, will be offered during the IFEA's 59th Annual Convention & Expo in 2013.  CFEE FastTrack Registration is separate from the IFEA's Annual Convention Registration.

  • Friday, September 13th, 2013
    9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    Administration/Management
    Using the development of a model business plan as a guide, these sessions will explore and reveal the process by which successful administration and management programs are developed. Session attendees will explore the ins and outs of managing a board of directors, building an effective leadership and administration team, identifying budget targets and making them work, establishing marketing plans, identifying competition and establishing a business paradigm that will give more, "gravitas," to an event-producing organization.  Learn More

    Sponsorship/Sponsorship Service
    Over the past generation the sponsorship of festivals and special events has evolved from the quasi-donation of money by a local business to a sophisticated marketing relationship involving the exchange of mutual value. The development of a comprehensive sponsorship plan and successful fulfillment program involves the coordination of numerous details and the working knowledge of a variety of factors.     Marketing/Media Relations
    A strong marketing vision, direction, and ultimately a plan is essential in successful promotion of any company’s products or services. This area of instruction is designed to look at and provide an overview of marketing and media relations and specifically how these functions can be used to the unique needs of the festival and special events industry.  Learn More

* Individual Core Curriculum Class price for IFEA Members is $175 or $335 for Non-IFEA Members. 
**
The CFEE FastTrack price for IFEA Members is $500 and $865 for Non-IFEA Member.  CFEE FastTrack costs cover the 6 Core Curriculum Classes only.  (3 offered this year, 3 offered next year).
All participants  of the CFEE Program must pay the $200 (member) Enrollment Fee and the $250 (member) Certification Fee, in addition to completing all the remaining CFEE Certification Requirements and Electives and any costs involved in order to Graduate from the CFEE Program.  Must be an IFEA Member at time of Graduation.
