The late George Zambelli, of Zambelli Fireworks Internationale and sponsor of the award since its inception in 2001, summed it up well when he said "imagine a world without the great blessing of volunteers, it would be a far different place. God bless them all." Please join us in
Indianapolis this year, to help us celebrate this great honor with Gayl.
Now Accepting Entries for the 2010 IFEA/Zambelli Fireworks International Volunteer of the Year Award As you take a moment to read about the 2009 IFEA/Zambelli Fireworks International Volunteer of the Year, why not take a moment to think about your own volunteers. They all deserve to be recognized just for the fact they're volunteering! But is there anyone who stands out above the rest, goes that extra mile to help you and your event? Stays long after the event has drawn to a close to help clean up and make sure things get put away? Someone that just makes your life easier, just by volunteering to help your event! You thank them every day for all their hard work . . .but wouldn't it be great if they could be thanked by the entire events industry.
The 2010 Volunteer of the Year Brochure will be available shortly, in the meantime however, why not download the 2009 Entry brochure below and glance over the criteria and requirements for entering. It won't take you long to think of someone who volunteers for your event/organization that is well deserved of this award. The deadline for the 2010 entries won't be until May 2010 (exact date TBD), so take some time, jot down notes and start working on your nomination today!
