Eligibility Requirements
Membership in IFEA is not a requirement to enroll in the program, nor is full time employment in the festival and events industry. It is important to note however, that both are required in order to graduate from the CFEE program.
While not mandatory, it is suggested that new candidates participate in the IFEA "New Professionals" program prior to entering the IFEA certification process. While some of the same topics will be touched upon, the New Professionals program is designed to be a one-day introduction to the special events industry, with four classes in one day, led by some of the top professionals in the field.
